'Cyberpunk 2077' Google Stadia trailer shows off the game running at 4K

Source: CD Projekt Red

We've already seen gameplay footage of the highly-anticipated Cyberpunk 2077 on RTX PCs. Now, CD Projekt Red and Google show off what the game will look like on the Stadia streaming service with this new five-minute trailer, which also gives the game's background story (click on the link as it's only viewable on YouTube). You can even check it out in full 4K resolution. As Engadget notes, buying Cyberpunk 2077 through Stadia is a good option if you don't have the most powerful PC or have a base PS4 and Xbox One. The developer's co-CEO Adam Kicinski even said that these versions' performance is "surprisingly good," and its minimum PC requirements aren't too bad.

We aren't sure if the incentive is available here. But in the US, those who buy the game on Stadia before December 17 will get a Stadia Premiere Kit, including a white Stadia controller, a Chromecast Ultra, and a complimentary one-month subscription to Stadia Pro if you're new to the service. And you can play the game in 4K if you are subscribed to Stadia's premium tier and have a fast and stable internet connection. Cyberpunk 2077 is officially launching on December 10.

CD Projekt Red, NVIDIA tease 'Cyberpunk 2077' and its ray-tracing features

With Cyberpunk 2077 finally coming out in the next few weeks, game developer CD Projekt Red wants to show off the gaming. The latest behind-the-scenes video shows off gameplay footage featuring DXR ray-tracing and NVIDIA's DLSS tech. According to NVIDIA, the game is "more immersive and detailed" if you have ray-tracing enabled.

The company says that "glorious ray-traced reflections are cast on every possible surface; substantially improved shadows naturally soften and sharpen; [and] shops, streets and buildings are realistically illuminated with diffuse lighting."

'Cyberpunk 2077' PS4 version will be compatible with PS5 at launch

When Cyberpunk 2077 does eventually launch, you don't have to worry about whether it can work on the next-generation PlayStation 5. CD Projekt Red confirmed the PlayStation 4 version of the game will "work on PS5 on launch day." The game developer previously confirmed that the game will support Microsoft's Smart Delivery system, which means the Xbox One version will work on the Xbox Series X from the get-go. CD Projekt Red pushed back the release of this action-adventure role-playing game from September to November 19, saying that it needed to make sure the game works well before launch day.

Those who buy the PS4 or Xbox One versions of Cyberpunk 2077 will get a free upgrade to a version of the game that's optimized for the next-gen consoles, and players can take "full advantage of the next-gen hardware." Unfortunately, CD Projekt Red couldn't confirm whether this upgrade will roll out in the coming year.
