Wave and interact with Pokémon on your Pixel 4 phone

It might not be the most useful feature, but we have to say it's the most adorable one. Google has partnered with The Pokémon Company to teach new Pixel 4 users how to use Motion Sense, which is the gesture-based way to control the new handset. The mini-game called Pokémon Wave Hello lets you interact with Pokémon Sword and Shield like Pikachu and Eevee. Wave at the adorable creatures and earn points. Aside from this, there are Pokémon live wallpapers that you can interact with. Google even says when it's nighttime, these pocket monsters will go to sleep, too. Cute. We want it.

Pixel 4 gets first dibs on Live Caption, will come to Pixel 3 and 3a in December

When the Pixel 4 series launches this month, the phones will be the first to get Google's Live Caption feature. It's designed to run subtitles through videos you watch on your phone, making sure you don't miss anything even if you're watching the clip in noisy environments. According to MobileSyrupCanadian users will be getting the feature on their Pixel 4 phones, too. Soon after the Pixel 3 and 3a will be getting the feature (sometime in December, to be exact).

Google Pixel 4 launch confirms most of the leaks, pre-orders up now

There wasn't much that was kept under wraps with the Google Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL. And the leaks, for the most part, told us everything we were expecting to show up, even the Canadian prices were leaked. But it's good to know that what was leaked is off of what Google is offering.

Here's a quick rundown of the Canadian prices:

  • Pixel 4 - 64GB: $999
  • Pixel 4 - 128GB: $1,129
  • Pixel 4 XL - 64GB: $1,129
  • Pixel 4 XL - 128GB: $1,259

The phones are available for pre-order now, and these will be released on October 24th. And for those who pre-order, you get $150 Google Store credits.

Google Pixel 4 retail box leak details included accessories

Just hours away from the official launch of the Google Pixel 4, we get a sneak peek at what the retail box for the new flagship phones looks like. The box shows the basic specs of the phone, which include a 5.7-inch screen size and 64GB storage capacity. And it lists the accessories included, which are an 18W USB-C power adapter, charging cable, and Quick Switch Adapter. There are no headphones or USB-C to 3.5mm adapter in the box, so if you have those, you better hold on to them.

The box is for the smaller Pixel and shares a similar look to the Pixel 3a's packaging. The front of the packaging highlights the back of the phone with the large Google "G" logo at the top along with the Pixel 4 product name. We see behind another photo of the back of the device with the #teampixel hashtag. The handset is still face down with the white lock key standing out against the wooden surface.
