New Pixel 4a 5G images leak

New images of the Pixel 4a 5G surface right after its specs got released. UK retailer John Lewis accidentally posted photos of the phone a little early. It was accidentally shown (and at the time of this writing still visible) on the retailer's 4G LTE variant listing. You can see in the phone's status bar the 5G logo, which shouldn't work on the Pixel 4a 4G LTE model. Its rear camera layout also doesn't match the Pixel 4as.

Google Pixel 4a and 4a 5G, Google Pixel 5 Sept. 25 release date in Germany leaked

A leaked photo of an internal Vodaphone document shows the reported release date of the upcoming Google Pixel 5, 4a 5G, and 4a phones in Germany. In the picture above, you can see that all three units will supposedly drop on September 25 in the country, which could also be the release date in other countries, including ours. This date also suggests that the public launch for the Google Pixel 5 and 4a 5G will be held soon. The tech giant did promise a fall release for the phones, so this rumoured launch will line up with that statement.

Google teases fall release for Pixel 4a 5G and Pixel 5

With the delayed release of the Google Pixel 4a, it isn't surprising that the company opted to share what's in the pipeline. So, during the Pixel 4a's launch, we also get some teasers on the Pixel 4a 5G and Pixel 5 5G. Both will be launched in the fall, and both will be coming to Canada.

The teaser image shows two different-sized devices, one with a matte black finish and another smaller handset with a sparklier exterior. The Verge speculates that the larger handset is the Pixel 4a 5G, while the regular-sized handset will be the Pixel 5. Google promises to share more about these devices "in the coming months."
