Luxury watchmaker Tag Heuer launches its first smartwatch

Tag Heuer's Connected watch is the company's first smartwatch wearable. Expected to cost US $1,500.00, the Connected watch is backed by Intel and Google and there will be a limited run of 1,000 units. Featuring a Titanium casing, the Tag runs an Atom processor and can accept notifications, alerts and control music as well as run apps. It is integrated with Google Maps and Google Fit for navigation and health tracking.

Customers who but the Connected Watch will have the option to trade it in for a mechanical Tag Heuer in two years by paying an additional $1,500.00. This opens an opportunity for younger smartwatch owners to transition to the luxury timepiece market should they so desire.

Here are leaked photos of the Nokia C1 Android-powered smartphone

Following up on the N1 tablet, Nokia's upcoming C1 handset showed up in some leaked photos and we're getting a glimpse of what a Nokia-designed Android device is going to look like. Supposedly powered by an Intel chipset and 2GB of RAM, this will be a 5-inch device with a full 1080p HD display and it will run the upcoming Android 6.0 OS (Marshmallow).

This time around ODMs will build off Nokia's design and market the device using Nokia's branding. This means that there will at least be Nokia mobile devices in our future, even if they aren't as cohesive in look, feel and software as some recent devices. The C1 will be priced to be affordable and might be an emerging markets or prepaid focused device.

Intel Compute Stick brings Windows to a dongle

PC-on-a-stick concepts have been around for a while. Most of them, however, are powered by ARM processors and other relatively unknown brands. That is until Intel decided to dip their toes into that market. The Intel Compute Stick is a four-inch-long dongle that runs on an Atom Bay Trail quad-core processor. It can turn almost any HDMI display into a computer and it is equipped with a USB port, mini-USB port, microSD slot, as well as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity.

The Compute Stick is designed to work as everything from a media streaming machine, web browser, social networking device, thin client for enterprise with remote desktop and plug-and-play functionality. There will be two versions of the Compute Stick available. One will have Windows 8.1 pre-installed with 2GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage. The other will have Ubuntu pre-installed with 1GB of RAM and 8GB internal storage. They will be priced US$149 and $89, respectively, and be released in March.
