Microsoft’s Bing for iOS update emphasizes Siri integration

Microsoft has updated its Bing app for the release of iOS 7 and is trumpeting Siri’s integration into the application—meaning you ask Siri to look up something and it’ll Bing it for you.

Aside from that, the updated app now features four tiles—Weather, Popular Now, Nearby, and Images—on the main screen. You can also share images found on the app using Facebook and Twitter and sync and save images and screenshots to SkyDrive.

Evernote redesigns app for iOS 7

Evernote has completely revamped its iOS app for the new Apple operating system. They have taken out the tabs so that everything is visible in one screen. There are a new set of Quicknote features; image and PDF markup feature from Skitch is now also available with a new look (PDF markup is available for Premium users only); Notebooks and Tags have also been updated; and notes can be shared using AirDrop. Flipboard updates app for iOS 7

Flipboard has also updated its iOS app to be iOS 7-ready. Its biggest and possibly coolest change is that the full-screen magazine covers now support the parallax effect similar to what the new iOS home screen does. You also get iOS 7-style controls and “flatter treatment of images.” 

First Impressions on Apple iOS 7

What a long, strange trip it's been for iOS. The operating system, which powers 700 million iPhones, iPod Touches and iPads, started as a series modified web applications on the original iPhone and then steadily developed into a full-blown developer supported ecosystem that became the blueprint for distributing software on smartphones.

With iOS 7, which is available for free right now via a software update, Apple has gone from having the oldest mobile operating system to having the newest. Let's see what it is all about.
