SlideShow: LG G Flex curved phone in pictures

We've already given you our hands-on impressions on LG's G Flex curved smartphone and we're looking forward to reviewing the device in an upcoming review. In the meantime, here are some more images of the LG G Flex in all it's bent glory. The device is very similar to the LG G2 in design language but it is bigger and the curved shape does take some adjustment. Despite being called G-Flex, it isn't very pliable and is quite solid. This one's a Rogers exclusive coming 'later this Spring'.

Rogers to launch the LG G Flex this Spring

Phone manufacturers are realizing that they need to evolve and innovate their device designs in order to stand-out, or you know, sell them. Specs just aren't enough anymore. Such is the case with the LG G Flex, the new wunderkind of LG, and soon to be flagship. Initially leaked online, then shown off in the flesh at last months CES2014 conference in Las Vegas, the G Flex is the first device to hit the market with a curved screen "designed to follow the curve of the human face". The LTE-enabled G Flex features a 6-inch 720p OLED display, runs an out-dated Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, sports a 2.26GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM, a 13MP camera and a 2.1MP front-facing camera, plus a curved 3,500 mAh battery.

One more thing, the G Flex will come to Canada as a Rogers exclusive, as the title suggests. Pricing and official availability are yet to be known, but you can go and reserve it through Rogers here.

First look at LG's G Flex curved and flexible smartphone from CES 2014

Curved screens were the hot topic at CES 2014 and not just on LED HDTVs. Both LG and Samsung promised curved smartphones as some of the things to expect in 2014. LG's G Flex, which the company claims is the world's first flexible and curved smartphone,  drew a lot of attention and while still considered a cutting edge (read: expensive) product, this 6-inch curved OLED sportin' smartphone show uss what one version of the future of our mobile devices could be like. Let's see if we can see any bumps on that curved display.
