Marvel's 'Eternals' to land on Disney+ on Jan. 12

Marvel Studios

Just a little after two months since it hit theatres, Marvel Studios' Eternals is coming to Disney's streaming service. Disney+ will have the latest Marvel Cinematic Universe film on January 12.

In September, Disney announced that it plans to give its remaining slate of theatrical releases at least 45 days in the cinemas before they are available to stream. The only exception is Encanto, which is coming to Disney+ on December 24 (around 30 days after its cinematic release). Eternals is an example of giving that minimum 45-day window.

'She-Hulk' gets teased during Disney+ Day, plus more Marvel Studios TV shows coming to Disney+

Many new upcoming Marvel Studios TV shows are making their way to Disney+ soon. One show we're getting a sneak peek into is She-Hulk starting Canadian actress and Orphan Black star Tatiana Maslany as Jennifer Walters, Bruce Banner/Hulk's cousin (played by Mark Ruffalo). The short 19-second teaser shows Jennifer turning into a She-Hulk after getting a blood transfusion from Bruce. She-Hulk is scheduled for a 2022 debut on the streaming service.

Other Marvel Studios TV shows coming out soon include Agatha: House of Darkness, a spinoff series of WandaVision's enemy, Agatha Harkness (Kathryn Hahn); Ms. Marvel, with Iman Vellani starring as the Pakistani-American shapeshifter Kamala Khan; Hawkeye; Moon Knight; I Am Groot; X-Men '97; and more.

Marvel pushes back Black Widow's release to July 9, simultaneous release on Disney+ and in theatres

After many delays because of the COVID-19 pandemic, Marvel Studio's Black Widow will finally come out on July 9 through a simultaneous release in theatres and Disney+ Premier Access. For those who plan to watch it on Disney's streaming service, you'll need to shell out an additional $34.99 to watch it on the same day as the theatrical release. Disney has employed this strategy with films like Raya and the Last Dragon and Mulan.

Another highly anticipated Marvel film, Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, is coming out on September 3 instead of in July. We have no word yet if this will also offer Disney+ Premier Access.
