‘Daredevil’ comes back in new Season 3 teaser trailer

Daredevil is making a comeback and it looks like he wants nothing to do with Matt Murdock. The third season of the Marvel TV show just released its first trailer for Netflix and it looks like Charlie Cox’s Daredevil is embracing the dark side. The show’s third season picks up after the crossover mini-series The Defenders, where we have the blind crimefighter team up with Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), Luke Cage (Mike Colter), and Danny Rand a.k.a. Iron Fist (Finn Jones). At the end of the mini-series, it was presumed that Daredevil and former lover Elektra (Elodie Yung) died in a cave-in of Midland Circle. But, as the teaser shows, that isn’t quite the case. But we do see a bloodied Daredevil in a shadowy confessional booth, possibly in the nunnery where his mother Margaret Murdock or Maggie (Joanne Whalley) is.

Cox and Whalley will be joined by returning stars Deborah Ann-Woll as Karen Page, Elden Henson as Murdock’s law partner Foggy Nelson, and Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk a.k.a. Kingpin. Wilson Bethel will be joining the cast and is said to be playing Daredevil’s archfoe Bullseye. This new season is said to be drawing inspiration from Daredevil’s “Born Again” storyline, where Kingpin discovers Daredevil’s secret identity and is systematically trying to destroy Matt Murdock’s life. Daredevil Season 3 is set to come out this year but there is no exact release date just yet.

Netflix hasn’t confirmed ‘Luke Cage’ Season 3 yet

While rumour has it that the writers of Luke Cage are already working on the third season of the show, Netflix hasn’t confirmed its return yet. Cindy Holland, Netflix’s vice president of original content, said during the Television Critics Association press tour that they “haven’t made any firm decisions yet.” If it does push through, Luke Cage will be the third Marvel and Netflix co-produced show to get a third season (after Daredevil and Jessica Jones). The show has been generally well-received. On review aggregator site Rotten Tomatoes, its first season earned 94 percent, while its recently-released second season got 84 percent. We wouldn’t be surprised if Netflix decides to give it one more go.

New teaser for ‘Iron Fist’ shows its characters iconic costume

Netflix has just released another new teaser for the upcoming second season of Marvel’s Iron Fist. And this time, we get to see a glimpse of Danny Rand’s past—including a look at the classic costume his character is known for. Finn Jones, the actor behind Rand, has said before that we didn’t get to see his character in the costume he’s known for because his character was still trying to find his footing as the character.

This time though, we get a glimpse of it as Rand walks down a New York street with Colleen Wing (played by Jessica Henwick) and has a flashback of his time at K’un-L’un, showing a rather brutal fight. When Wing asks him if he’s okay, he says he was just thinking about a bad memory, which she then replied saying it was all in the past. And he goes, “I hope so,” which possibly suggests Rand’s past coming back to haunt him in this second season. Netflix will start streaming Iron Fist on September 7th.
