Well, that was fast. The first batch of Moto 360 devices which went up for sale or pre-order in the US have already been claimed. It seems pent up demand for Motorola's circular wearable, which launched yesterday was quite strong and everyone who might have been on the fence about Android Wear devices decided this device was the one to go for. Not only did the Moto 360 sell out of Motorola's online store, Google Play's store and even on Best Buy's US website. Can we expect the same amount of buyer enthusiasm when Moto 360 comes to Canada this fall? We'll have to wait and see.

Google I/O attendees getting Moto 360 release notices for September 5

Coinciding with the news that Motorola plans to host an event involving smartphones, wearables and personal audio in Chicago on September 4, Google is touching base with Google I/O attendees who opted for the Moto 360 smart watch over the offerings from LG and Samsung. Saying that they 'would send out Moto 360s as soon as they became available," the notice earmarks September 5 as the deadline for these folks to send their mailing info, which just happens to be the day after Motorola's big product reveal at the Windy City. So, the most anticipated Android Wear device is likely coming to Google Play and other outlets soon after.

Media invites have started going to US media outlets for a September 4 event to be be held in Chicago. Hints point to a refresh of the Moto X and Moto G lines plus possible launch of the anticipated Moto 360 wearable. Stay tuned for more developments from Motorola.

Early Moto 360 review reveals more details about Motorola's new wearable

The Motorola Moto 360 is considered the most premium of the three Android Wear devices launched by Google and coming later this year. Moto 360 is the only one conforming to a round face and also features various pluses that make it the Android device worth waiting for. A lucky reviewer, Luca Viscardi, over at Mister Gadget has had an early review of the device and has revealed some interesting tidbits.

The Moto 360's battery life is good for two and a half days, its display works well under bright sunlight, it has an iP7 water resistance rating, it will charge 'wirelessly' via a Qi charger and it seems there is a black bar at the bottom of the screen that's somewhat persistent and which encroaches on the illusion that the 360's face is perfectly round. Aside from these insights, Luca has posted some images of the Moto 360 as well.
