The V series isn't something LG typically launches at this time of the year. But it looks like the company wants to capitalize on the buzz surrounding 5G and opted to launch its own 5G-ready phone at MWC. The LG V50 ThinQ 5G will come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset alongside an embedded Qualcomm X50 modem, which promises "up to 20 times the speed of 4G."
Looks-wise, it's similar to the V40. It has the same 6.4-inch 3,120 x 1,440 resolution OLED display. Its body is MIL-STD 810G compliant. The notch hasn't gone away, either. You get two selfie cameras: a standard 8-megapixel sensor and a 5-megapixel wide-angle sensor. It also has the same triple camera system at the back, which includes a 12-megapixel standard lens with f/1.5 aperture, a 12-megapixel telephoto lens with f/2.4 aperture, and a 16-megapixel ultra-wide lens with f/1.9 aperture.
