Apple Mac Store hits 10,000 available apps

There are apparently over10,000 apps available in the Mac App Store making it the biggest and fastest growing computer software store online. Independent sources tallied up the app market. Reports from MacGeneration and Macrumors have both reported that the store now offers over 10,000 apps for purchase and download to Mac computers. It is good to see a thriving Mac OS developer community for the desktop and not just for the hugely popular mobile devices.

News: Samsung sells over 300 million handsets

Red hot Samsung has said that the company has sold 300 million handsets in 2011 as of November. A report from The Chosunilbo states that "Samsung Electronics sold more than 300 million mobile phones worldwide this year, the second phone maker after Nokia to achieve the milestone in one year."

According to the report, Samsung sold an average of nine handsets a second and 820,000 a day. If the 300 million handsets are piled up, they would be more than 300 times the height of Mt. Everest.

Having seen many of the Canadian Samsung smartphone models this year, we're certain that most of the devices sold are Google Andrioid phones.
