Chromium code review reportedly shows Nexus 6 and 8

Rumours have been swirling that we’re seeing the end of the Nexus line but until that is confirmed other reports claim new Nexus devices are on its way in the coming months. Android Headlines cites Dutch website SmartDroid.de on a report that there will be a new Nexus 8 and Nexus 6. These devices reportedly showed up on a Chromium code review.

The Nexus 8 has long been reported to be an 8.9-inch tablet made by HTC. It is expected to make its debut at the upcoming Google I/O or a bit after that. Meanwhile, the Nexus 6 is a new device to make its rounds in the rumour mill. This doesn’t mean that this will be a 6-inch device from Google and its chosen manufacturer or it could be. But perhaps it will carry the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor and 3GB of RAM. We will keep you posted to confirm or debunk these rumours when we hear more.

‘The Last Of Us Remastered’ release for PS4 reportedly delayed, might be out by August 7th

Sony has previously said The Last Of Us Remastered version for the PlayStation 4 is going to be released this summer. The company did not officially say when but retailers’ announcement generally agreed that it would be around June 13th.  However, Ubergizmo reports New Zealand retailer Mighty Ape sent out emails to customers who pre-ordered The Last Of Us that the game’s release has shifted to August 7th. Sony still hasn’t made an announcement about the release nor have they contradicted Mighty Ape’s announcement. At this time, it’s best to anticipate a delay.

HTC rumoured to release a cheaper, plastic version of One M8

We all know HTC used to poke fun at the plastic flagship devices of its competitors. But it looks like they want to get in on the game but would try to release a more affordable version. @evleaks over a Twitter teased an upcoming “M8 Ace” device coming out that would have a plastic unibody instead of the company’s trademark aluminum construction. The M8 Ace will reportedly have almost the same specs as the Samsung Galaxy S5—a 5-inch 1080p screen and a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 2.5GHz processor—but with a lower price tag. We’ll just have to take this rumour with a grain of salt at the moment but imagine the possibilities.

Android tipped to get voice command capability everywhere

Nexus 5 and Samsung Galaxy S5 users are currently limited to using the "Ok Google" command on the homescreen of their devices. But Google is reportedly working on a way to bring the voice command feature everywhere on your Android device. Similar to what the Moto X does, your device will listen and respond to your voice and respond to what you have running. For example, if you are looking through photos, you can tell Google to "share this photo" with someone. It is still a rumour at the moment but an extremely handy feature if ever it does get confirmed.
