Marvel is making a Hall H appearance at San Diego Comic-Con 2019

After not showcasing anything at last year’s San Diego Comic-Con, the Marvel Cinematic Universe is making a comeback this year. A pretty interesting move considering we don’t know what Disney’s MCU has planned after Spider-Man: Far From Home premieres this month. We’re most likely going to hear what the new slate is going to be for the coming year/s. Perhaps even footage from director Cate Shortland’s standalone Black Widow film. According to Collider, we might hear from The Eternals, Shang-Chi, and even a Doctor Strange sequel. We must also consider the Disney+ live-action series like Loki and Falcon & Winter Soldier, among other things. SDCC is about a month away, so the wait isn’t going to be long until we find out what the MCU is cooking up for us.

Here’s a better look at ‘Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald’

Aside from the great panels, one of the big things we look forward to when San Diego Comic-Con comes around is the new trailers. One of the big ones shown at this year’s Comic-Con is the latest trailer for Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald. The three-minute trailer shows Magizoologist Newt Scamander (played by Eddie Redmayne) working with a young Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law) to try and put a stop to Gellert Grindelwald (Johnny Depp) as he wants to lead pure-blood wizards to rule over all non-magical beings.

Other cast members you can expect in this sequel include Katherine Waterston as Tina Goldstein, Ezra Miller as Credence Barebone, Dan Fogler as Jacob Kowalski, and Zoe Kravitz as Leta Lestrange. David Yates is back in the director’s chair for this second Fantastic Beasts film and J.K. Rowling herself penned this movie’s screenplay as well. Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald comes to theatres starting November 16th.

Marvel unveils ‘Marvel Studios: The First Ten Years’ cover

If you’re a big Marvel Cinematic Universe fan, you’ll want this book in your life. Marvel just unveiled at the San Diego Comic Con the cover of its Marvel Studios: The First Ten Years book. It’s a two-book set that has everything from Iron Man to movies that haven’t even been released yet. It has a special slipcase that features key characters of the MCU (such as Thor, Captain America, Groot, and Spider-Man). The cover of the first book features Iron Man’s first suit and covers the years 2008 to 2013, while the second book features the Infinity Gauntlet and cover the years 2014 to 2018.

The books are co-written by Tara Bennett and Paul Terry and features over 100 interviews with the cast, producers, and directors of the MCU. You can expect to read interviews from the likes of Robert Downey Jr., Chadwick Boseman, Brie Larson, Paul Rudd, Benedict Cumberbatch, Anthony Mackie, to name a few. There are, as mentioned, also features from the sets of Captain Marvel and the 2019 Avengers sequel. The book will cost US$150 and will come out on May 3, 2019, which is the same day the next Avengers film comes out in theatres.

Here’s a look at upcoming ‘Justice League’ with new trailer from SDCC

At this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, DC and Warner Bros. gives us a longer look at the upcoming Justice League movie. It shows plenty of action as the five heroes get together and deal with the world’s issues after Superman’s death in Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice. The trailer gives us a look at the film’s villain Steppenwolf. We get a bit of humor too from Flash and Alfred, perhaps DC and Warner Bros.’ answer to the criticism about Batman v. Superman’s gloomier tone. There have been hints of Superman appearing in the film but we don’t know, of course, how this is going to come about. Justice League is set to hit theatres on November 17th.
