Sonos home audio have been built for family sharing but the downside is you can only use a single account for each music service. That’s about to change with the new Sonos controller app beta that lets you switch accounts immediately without needing to sign in every time you want to switch.
Android users can control the Sonos setup from the lock screen and Playbar owners should notice better sound staging and balancing. The beta is available for Android, Mac, and PC and we should see the finished product before the year ends.
Sonos is helping make sure your music keeps playing with its new Boost wireless accessory. It connects directly to your router to create its own network. This will let your Sonos speakers communicate with each other and increase wireless range by 50%. It is even designed to neutralize any interference from other electronics that might cause dropouts. The Boost is available for $109 on Sonos’s website and select retailers.
Sonos recently demoed its Playbar, Sub and Play 1 wireless streaming speakers when it hosted viewings of the FIFA World Cup games. Showing how immersive an experience their wireless speaker can offer viewers, they connected it to a a 70” Sony BRAVIA 4K TV. Sonos showed how easy it was to set up their speakers and how dynamic it is as a solution to cinematicHDTV setups. With ultra clear picture coming from the Bravia 4K set as well as stunning surround sound from the Sonos speakers and subwoofer, the thrill and excitement of the matches was intesified. Sonos products were also recently made available for preorder on Amazon.ca.
