A 'Space Invaders' AR game is in the works

Another title Square Enix Montreal is working on is a new take on an old game. The studio is working with its subsidiary Taito to create a Space Invaders augmented reality game for smartphones. Expect this new game to bring the pesky alien spaceships into your area, much like how Pokémon Go works.

We don't know when the game is officially coming out yet. But according to Square Enix's website, you can sign up to possibly playtest the game in the future.
