Video: The new Surface 3 is productivity focused

This new Surface 3 ad is so vastly different from the first few song-and-dance extravaganzas that ushered in the original Surface tablet. Microsoft is pushing portability as well as productivity for general consumers and professionals alike. Some of the nuances of the new Surface 3 that we picked up from this video is that it uses a micro USB charger instead of the magnetic charger of previous models and that a 4G-LTE variant will be made available as well for users who want the ultimate in mobile connectivity.

Microsoft just refreshed its smaller Surface hybrid line and finally buried Windows RT (running on ARM). The Surface 3 looks like a smller Surface Pro 3 and even takes stylus input. Featuring a 1.6GHz Intel Atom Processor, 64GB of storage and 2GB of RAM. Interested users will still have to cough up an additional $159.99 for the smaller, redesigned Type Keyboard and $49.99 for the Surface Pen (which now ships in a bevy of colours).
