Toronto Transit Commission delivers free WiFi to commuters in two stations

The Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) announced the official launch of its free WiFi service at Bloor-Yonge and St. George stations. TCONNECT offers subway patrons access and cellular connections on platforms and other public spaces within the two stations. 

These two initial locations are Toronto’s busiest subway stations and accommodate approximately 25 per cent of TTC subway riders each weekday.

Microsoft's CLICK program connects patients and parents at SickKids Hospital

I volunteered at the Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) in Toronto a few years back. My responsibility was to keep the kids entertained post operation. The children were there for more than a few days and sometimes their parents couldn't be with them. They had to either return to work, had other kids to take care of, or they had to run errands. It was an eye opening experience that still leaves me humbled.

Video: Apple's iPad Air launch in downtown Toronto

There was a steady line of 80 to 90 people at the Eaton Centre Apple Retail Store early this morning when we arrived shortly befor the doors opened at 8:00 am. There was the usual excitement from Apple's staff and many of the buyers who were waiting to get their hands on the new iPad Air.
