MasterCard offers a glimpse of the future in wearable tech

At Dx3 this week in Toronto, MasterCard Canada had invited us to step into their 'Retail Collective' and visit the changeroom of the future. It's a mind-boggling look at ways that could change the way consumers approach retailers and the way we shop. 

We're now in the phase of no-card-present payment technology with the use of our mobile devices and Apple Pay, but at Dx3, MasterCard took it several steps further pointing us to the future working with wearable technology like the Nymi Band - that uses biometrics to authenticate in-store purchases. Could this be the ideal solution for a better security system?

digiPlaySpace: an interactive playground for kids

The fourth annual digiPlaySpace exhibition is getting ready to wow kids, families and interactive media lovers once again. The award-winning, hands-on technology playground opens to the public at TIFF Bell Lightbox in Toronto from March 7 to April 19, 2015. It's a definite must see & do in the city!

The 2015 exhibition features engaging interactive fun stations created by some of the world's most innovative gaming, robotics, artists and app developers. Numerous installations are making world premiere's here at digiPlaySpace.

Artist Project: Tech influences in contemporary art

If you're in Toronto this weekend make time to visit the annual Artist Project Contemporary Art Fair on now until February 22nd at the Better Living Centre, Exhibition Place. The exhibition features over 5000 works of art by over 250 artists. 

The Opening Night party last night had many in attendance and three hours was definintely not enough for me. But I had noted just a few of works inspired by social media and technology.

CIAS Report: Ford Canada Suits Up
