Review: MacPhun Software's Lost Photos

MacPhun Software has made some of the most innovative Mac software I’ve had the pleasure to try. Their SnapHeal image editing app is one of the most effective ways to remove items seamlessly from a photo and they recently released the Lost Photos app, which scours your email account’s history for images and attachments and places them in a separate folder for ‘rediscovery’.

OS X 10.10 Yosemite Beta 2 now available

Beta testers of the upcoming Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite operating system were rewarded this morning with the first major non-developer update with various bug fixes as well as updates to the interface and design tweaks that give it a more unified look and feel. Also included are new wallpapers. Yosemite is expected to be released to the world at large this fall and is free for users of compatible Macs running the current Mavericks OS. Preview: Mac OS X Yosemite Public Beta

One year after what looked to be a massive revamp in look, feel, user experience and naming convention, Mac OS X has undergone and even more dramatic and comprehensive makeover with Mac OS X Yosemite. 

While expected to ship in the fall, there’s currently a Public Beta version of Yosemite available to interested beta testers who are welcome to join Apple engineers and developers in experiencing, testing and fine tuning this most innovative of operating systems. Apple releases sneak peek video of OS X Yosemite's new look

This was the video they showed us a week ago at WWDC which show what OS X Yosemite new look brings to the Mac desktop. Changes are sublte but significant and the functionality and ease of use is front and centre. There are revamped icons, a mysterious new font, cool transparencies and more intuitive touches all around. Yosemite comes this Fall for free to users with the right system requirements.
