How can I know if someone accesses my Facebook account?

By Owen Cutajar

Q:I have a suspicion that my brother is accessing my Facebook account. Is there any way I can find out if he’s doing this?

A:Well, if I were you, the first thing I would do is to change my password. That’s usually the best way to make sure you account is protected. But there’s also something else you can do. Facebook gives you the ability to track logins into your account and let you know when the account has been accessed.

Click on Account at the top right of the Facebook page and then on Account Settings. Click on the Change link in the Account security row. Click on the On option in the Login Notifications section and click on Save.

Following this change, you will be asked to enter a name for a computer when you use it to log in to Facebook. An email will also be sent telling you that computer has logged in.

You’ll see what this looks like from the picture above, and you’ll also see that the site lists the last few computer and times your account was logged into. No need to bug you room and leave a bunch of digital tv antennas sticking out al over the place.
