Apps and Launches: Hipstamatic for Foodies, Fatty Fat Fat Fat and Insyde Story

By Gadjo Cardenas Sevilla

Who doesn't enjoy taking pictures of their food? Hipstamatic has just released a new combo called the Foodie SnapPak for making grub look good. The combo includes a new lens, Loftus, a new film, DC and a new flash, Tasty Pop all for $.99. Hipstamatic users can download the Pak from within the app's store.

Fatty Fat Fat Fat- No this isn't what you scream into the mirror in the morning, this is the new iOS app devoted to gluttony.

Similar to the hunt and slash style of Fruit Ninja, FFFF requires dexterity and speed as you try and make sure the character, Fatty, grows even fatter.

This is done by sending certain food his way and avoiding fruits and vegetables.

In a strange way, this game seems to be telling us what types of food to avoid if we don't want to end up like the Scottish Sumo Wrestler in the game.

Insyde Story -

Social sharing apps and curated content are big right now, More than just checking in, we as users are encouraged to share, rate, review and push content.

A new app is mashing YouTube with Flickr, Soundcloud and Google Maps to create live, location based storytelling that takes microblogging to a whole new level.

Insyde Story  describes itself in the following way. "Sometimes a tweet or photo doesn't tell the whole story. With Insyde Story (BETA) you can link and combine dozens of comments, photos, videos, audio files, even music tracks together to tell the whole story, where and when it happened!"

Insyde Story allows users to discover, create and share threads of videos, recordings, music, images and text inspired by the world around them.

Place matters and Insyde Story provides a narrative space for users to connect and inform others about the people, places and stories important to them.

According to founder Michael Stewart, "An important component of the application is that you don’t need the app to share and view stories.

www.insydestory.com is much like a YouTube experience (tap on View Scene) but with all forms of media, not just video.
In honor of its launch and the birth of my daughter, the first story I added to it was my wife's labor! (yes, a bit crazy) http://www.insydestory.com/Scene/Details/187
