Review: Kobo Touch Navy Book Style Cover
By Gadjo Cardenas Sevilla
The Kobo Reader Touch Edition has quickly become our favourite eReader device. It has a great library of available books, newspapers and magazines plus the perfect handheld and touch-based for factor that's ideal to take anywhere. We were soon looking for a case that would complement the device and found the Book Style Cover.
Made from soft faux leather and with a stitched design, the Kobo Book Style Cover ($30) isn't much bigger or thicker than the Kobo Reader Touch Edition but gives it the appearance of an actual bound book.
This is available in Chapters and Indigo bookstores although it may be available online as well.
The Kobo Reader attaches using elastic bands stitched to the cover.
This doesn't look great or elegant but seems to work well enough. The problem here is that if these stiches ever come off then there no other way of securing the reader.
The Touch Book Style Cover does have a bunch of pockets for stuffing papers, receipts, and even money. This comes in very handy when at the beach or a park and you don't want to bring anything more than your reader.
At $30, we feel the price of the Kobo Touch Book Style cover is a bit steep but for those who want a nicely padded, unassuming case for the the Kobo Touch, this is one of the better alternatives out there.
