Charge, sync, and store 10 iPads, iPhones, or iPods with MultiDock

Griffin Technology announced their new MultiDock, a station that charges, syncs, and stores up to 10 iPads, iPhones and iPods. Designed and built to withstand the rigors of workplace, classroom and institutional use, MultiDock is a compact, scalable power and storage solution for any iOS device. MultiDock's power supply delivers full-rate charging to each of its 10 Charge Bays. The steel enclosure has a minimal footprint (less than that of a laptop).

Ideal for enterprise and educational users or places where multiple iOS devices might outnumber the wall sockets. MultiDock offers an organized and reliable solution.

“The MultiDock delivers plug-and-charge convenience in a compact footprint that adapts easily to classrooms, offices, healthcare facilities and other settings,” said Mark Rowan, President of Griffin Technology. “With Griffin’s Business Solutions, we are excited to provide the most complete power, protection, security, connection and application solutions for enterprise users.”

Mobile computing is changing the way businesses, institutions and agencies work. Griffin’s Business Solutions are aimed toward embracing the change, enabling enterprises to work smarter. MultiDock is the first of many Business Solutions that Griffin will be offering. For companies who have deployed iOS devices, MultiDock is an efficient and trouble-free way to keep them all charged, synced and secured while avoiding logistical nightmares.

Simply slide the iPad, iPhone, or iPod into one of MultiDock’s bays, connect the included dock cable, and MultiDock charges all connected devices simultaneously. Using the included USB cable, syncing with a host computer is enabled, but is not required after initial set-up. MultiDock's separation of the charge and sync functions allows MultiDock to deliver full-rate charging to all attached devices simultaneously as it affords IT managers increased control over content on the attached devices. There is no need to remove the devices from their cases; MultiDock bays are sized to accommodate most Griffin shell and skin-type cases.

The Adventure Science Center, a children’s museum located in Nashville, has deployed the MultiDock charging station for the last 4 months. "As the Science Center employs more mobile technology to enhance our educational programming, the MultiDock station allows us to update our tools in the most efficient manner, saving us time and energy that can be better used developing and providing exciting learning opportunities to our visitors,” says Victoria Crowe Moreland, Director of Marketing at Adventure Science Center.

MultiDock can be ordered to accommodate 10, 20, or 30 iPads at prices ranging from $699.99 to $1799.99.  As iOS deployment grows, it is easy to add capacity as desired. Up to 3 MultiDocks can be linked and synced at once using the provided USB hub that connects to the Mac host computer via a single USB connection.

Add accessories to customize the MultiDock experience:

  • Laptop Stand: Sized for a laptop and perfectly angled for ergonomic use;
  • Protective Cases: Compatible with MultiDock, designed with custom cut-outs for controls and connector ports.
  • Cables: Replacement USB-to-dock connector charge/sync cables.
