Brother Canada expands in Montreal Metropolitan Area
Brother International Corporation (Canada) Ltd. announced the expansion of its operations in Canada with the purchase of a new distribution center in the West Island of Montreal. The company's corporate head office, situated in the greater Montreal area of Dollard-des-Ormeaux, will now manage three distribution centers (2 in Montreal and 1 in Vancouver, BC).
The new 35,000 square feet facility, located in Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue, is intended to support Brother's steady sales growth and future business development. The expansion is also designed to increase logistics capacity and affirm Brother's commitment to constantly improving its business processes.
"Despite all the challenges facing the economy and the industry, we have been successful in maintaining growth", states Mr. Featherston, President of Brother Canada. "This new facility will support our rapid growth and ensure product supply on time, all the time. That's our commitment to our partners and customers."
Brother Canada provides sales, marketing, and distribution services, as well as customer and technical support for all Canadian customers directly from its corporate head office and distribution facilities in Dollard-des-Ormeaux, Quebec
New Social Media Services
In other Brother news, the company is officially launching its new integrated online customer service platform on Facebook (page name: Brother Canada) and Twitter (@brother_support).
The new tools give Brother's Canadian customers a social media platform for their questions and comments, with support in both official languages. Customers can expect a response to their queries within one business day. The accounts will complement Brother's pre-existing online (brother.ca) and toll-free telephone support tools, as well as its corporate YouTube channel, which features over 75 support videos for its various business machines.
Brother is also launching two corporate Twitter accounts (@brothercanada and @brothercanadafr ), which will provide an ongoing feed of news and information related to home office technology, working from home and other bits and bytes.
Customers can link to the new social media accounts from Brother.ca and a special microsite (ideservemore.ca) also launching on March 5 as part of Brother's latest advertising campaign. The new microsite features a satirical viral video that you might enjoy, inspired by closed-circuit television footage of office workers and other professionals driven to extremes by inept customer service.
We thought that this new approach to using social media tools and viral video might be of interest to your various followers, and we'd love to hear your feedback. Let me know if you have any questions.
