Samsung introduces 1TB mSATA SSD

Ultrabooks and even thinner and smaller devices are about to get a major storage boost. Samsung has unveiled what is touted as the industry’s first 1TB mini-Serial ATA SSD. Gizmodo reports the Samsung 840 EVO SSD is an mSATA drive that has 540 MB/s read speed and 520 MB/s write speed. It will also have 500, 250, and 120GB options. Pricing for the 1TB SSD has not been announced but while that's expected to be pricey, the good news is still that we've hit this capacity and the rest of the indusry is likely to respond.
