NoteSuite: Not your typical productivity/note-taking app
Cloud-based note-taking tools are great places to store all of those to-do lists, clipped Web pages, random notes, and the like. But what if the server is down, you lost your subscription, or worse, the service shuts down? That is where Theory.io’s NoteSuite for the iPad and Mac OS X comes in.
It is a Jack of all trades note-taking tool that can take on the aforementioned tasks as well as read, annotate, and search PDF and MS Office files. What makes it better is it doesn’t need a subscription and all the data is saved on the iPad or the computer and using the cloud is mostly for syncing and back up instead of it being the primary storage. This means you will always have your files with you. Normally priced at $4.99, NoteSuite for iPad comes at a special introductory price of $1.99 until July 15; while NoteSuite for Mac comes at an introductory price of $4.99 until July 15 as well but is normally priced at $9.99
