Videos of Lumia 1020 show of pro-style software features

A series of videos from Nokia focusing on the newly-launched Lumia 1020 show off the 41-megapixel smartphone's various features as well as its strength as a camera. So far, the Nokia Pro Camera app looks very promising. With the ability to take both large oversampled photos and smaller, regular sized smartphone camera photos, users now have the option of blowing up a scene and picking out details and making those the focal point of the picture. So that's what they meant by Zoom. Reinvented.
The ability to tweak various settings such as ISO, exposure, shutter speed as well as manipulate focus areas right from the screen is quite compelling for users who want to delve deeper into the nuances of photography. The video from PhoneArena below shows a demo of the camera grip which also doubles as a battery pack and this really makes things interesting since it makes the Lumia 1020 less of a smartphone and more of a camera.
Just from wathicng these videos, I can't wait to see the picture quality from the Lumia 1020 as well as the level of detail and the speed of the software and hardware. I hope the Canadian roll out of the Lumia 1020 will happen sooner rather than later.
