iGrann is as close as you'll get to a native Instagram app for BlackBerry 10

For as long as BlackBerry 10 has been in the public eye, so has the question 'when will it get Instagram'? Despite the folks at BlackBerry remaining mum on the subject - rather averting focus to the many-a-filters that come with the stock camera app - BB10 users' have resorted to creativity and began sideloading older Android apk's onto their devices, just so that they can say they have it.

Alas, that's all about to change because of one tenacious developer. A developer known as Gaspertrix has announced to CrackBerry (via their forums) that a native Instagram app for BlackBerry 10 is indeed in the works. Though no fully-featured, it will allow for enough basic commands to be completed to suffice most eagers appetites. Below is a list of what iGrann for BlackBerry 10 will be capable of:

- Register
- Login
- Recover Password
- Edit Profile Information
- Browse Feed
- Browse Photos
- Explore Popular
- Search Users
- Search Hashtags
- View News
- Upload Photos
- Comment
- Like / Unlike
- Follow / Unfollow
- Browse Profiles
- Share

What you can not do with this app:
- Apply filters to photos (planned)
- Browse Videos (planned)
- Upload Videos (planned)
- Receive push notifications

The only caveat is that an official launch date is still unkown.  Stay tuned, and for now, keep using your sideloaded app; it's buggy, but it works.
