Liquid Image introduces LTE connectivity to new action cam

Liquid Image wants to make sure your action camera’s upload speeds match the adrenaline-pumping adventures you go on. The new Ego LS camera unveiled at CES is believed to be the first action cam equipped with LTE connectivity. It can transmit stills and WQVGA (or at 400 x 240 only) videos at 30 frames per second for up to two hours over 4G. While offline though, the 8-megapixel camera can record at 1080p/30fps or 720p/60fps. It is also equipped with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity and can connect to Liquid Image app on iOS and Android.

It is also equipped with a microSD slot that supports up to 64GB cards and has new continuous photo and motion detection features. A launch is slated for June for two models—one with LTE and one without—and will cost about US$200.
