CES 2014: Alcatel Onetouch announce Idol X and Idol Mini smartphones coming to Canada

– ALCATEL ONETOUCH today announced the upcoming availability of the flagship Idol X and Idol Mini smartphones in Canada. Part of the Idol family of smartphones, designed to deliver rich features within a slim form factor, the 5" Idol X and 4.3" Idol Mini will be available in Canada through Bell and Virgin Mobile Canada in the coming weeks.

The Idol X offers customers a feature rich smartphone experience packed into a stunning form factor, and was recently awarded the 2013 GOOD DESIGN™ Award. The phone offers a 5” 1080p fullHD IPS display, with an edge-to-edge design that maximizes the touchscreen and viewing experience. The phone measures only 6.9 millimeters thin and is equipped with a 1.5 GHz quad-core processor, 13 MP camera, MicroSD slot for up to 32 GB of storage and operates on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean).

The Idol Mini is the smallest member of the Idol family with a 4.3” touchscreen and 7.9 millimeters thin body. Its stylish compact design packs a 5 MP camera, 1.3GHz dual-core processor and Android 4.2 platform at a very competitive price.

The Idol X and Idol Mini will be available in the coming weeks online at Bell.ca and VirginMobile.ca, and at Bell and Virgin Mobile Canada stores, The Source locations and select retailers across Canada.
