Review: Arts Your Case StrongFit Silicon case for iPhone 5/5S
By Gadjo Cardenas Sevilla
Just when the iPhone case landscape starts to look a little stale, NYC's Arts Your Case injects these must-have accessories with beautiful and original art in lightweight and truly functional protective cases. Here's my take on the Arts Your case StrongFit Silicon case for the iPhone 5S.
I've alwasy tried to avoid silicon in any of my smartphone cases. While I understand it's properties are inherent to shock absorption and impact resistance, I find the material attracts a lot of dust and lint and rarely keeps its shape through time.
When I saw the Arts Your case StrongFir silicon case, I initially rolled my eyes. While the stunning skull design on the lacquer-finished polycarbonate exterior really caught my attention, the prospect of slipping my silver iPhone 5S in a silicon protector and into the polycarbonate case didn't appeal to me. But once I felt how solid and protectected my device and its diamond cut chamfers were, I was sold. Not only did the iPhone 5s feel protected, the StrongFit case didn't add much bulk or weight. Access to ports, switches and buttons is still easy and even when my iPhone gets into the hands of my toddler, I feel reassured that it will survive drops and rough treatment.
Best of all, the Vintage Skull design by Ali Gulec really started to grow on me. So much so that I am looking into the possibility of creating wallpaper that blends nicely with the case.
Arts Your Case Series working in collaboration with designers from different countries bringing exclusive designs to make your device look stunning and more like you. Introducing the StrongFit Series Case as the beginning of the next generation on custom cases. With the best technology for the printing process, the design you choose will cover even the sides of your case providing a 3D effect.
Two layers of protection ΛΈ durable silicon to absorb shocks and bumps. Hard polycarbonate shell with the sublimation of the design you have chosen. This case protects without increasing the size and weight of your device. The custom made hole for the camera does not interfere with the flash and lens. Its design enables total access to controls and ports. I like how there's now a slight lip protecting the iPhone's screen and that it is even more protected if accidentally dropped.
Best of all, artist get a chance to show off their work and possibly reel-in more people to discover their art in other forms and mediums.
Silicon plus polycarbonate cases do offer great protection but they can rarely be called stylish, most are drab and seem to take inspiration from military implements and while some make things more exciting with colour, you can't really call it art.

Looks cool. I dig silicone cases. They seem to protect the phone and don't crack. I drop my phone a lot and have cracked a lot of cool $40 cases. My most recent case is a jimmyCASE. http://thejimmycase.com/ Silicone bumper with elastic and wood wallet. Sounds strange, but works great.
This is great but I like most of it with all sorts of conditions including diving in water or dropped from 13ft high, you'll find that this design is very useful. Although it covers most of the phones, access to all ports and buttons can be done conveniently.
