Thalmic unveils the go-to-market design of their MYO armband

Waterloo, ON-based startup Thalmic has come a long way in a seemingly very short period of time. After catapulting to fame with their long-awaited, gesture-controled armband "MYO", Thalmic was able to secure a large round of investment; pulled in some amazing Canadian talent; and, finally, unveiled the final design of the product that has the tech world in a tizzy.

Gone is the archaic-looking armband that has been shown off at countless tech conferences, and in its place is a piece of technology that is as attractive as it is wearable. For those of us who have purchased the MYO, the new design features a series of rectangular blocks connected together by slim lines, measuring at almost half the thickness of the original prototypes.

The Myo armband is available to pre-order for $149 and is expected to ship to developers next month and for the general public sometime this fall.
