BlackBerry refuses to give up, opens "Fact Check” portal

BlackBerry might be hanging on by its threads but that doesn’t mean they won’t be putting up a fight. The company has just launched a new portal they call “BlackBerry Fact Check.” It is designed to counter the “smoke and mirrors marketing tactics” of its competitors and give their users facts. The portal contains good news about BlackBerry products and it encourages loyal BlackBerry users out there to let them know if their competitors are releasing any “work of fiction.” If you are still loyal to the brand, is this still something you’d like to check out?

Frankly, this is something they should have done many moons ago.

While you really can't argue with any one's opinion on the Internet, a lot of Tech Blogs tend to spin their opinion as factual based pieces, which is wrong in so many ways.

The fact of the matter is (see what I did there) whatever you write about, be it a nutritional label, a piece for the Globe and Mail, or a Tech blog article, you should have the facts to back up what you are writing. If you don't have the facts and the majority of the work is based on conjecture, in my opinion you might as well be writing horoscopes, because that's about as much credence as I'll give the writer.
