U of T Students win Canadian stage of 2014 James Dyson Award with 3D skin printer

Gifted University of Toronto students, Arianna McAllister and Lian Leng, have won the Canadian stage of the 2014 James Dyson Award with their project PrintAlive Bioprinter. Their 3D skin tissue printer represents a huge leap forward in producing high-res human microtissue, improving the recovery and healing process of burn victims. 

Canada’s four runners-up are:

·       EcoSat from University of Victoria

·       EyeCheck from University of Waterloo

·       Skorpion Rock Drill from Humber College

·       Suncayr from University of Waterloo

These five projects will advance to the international stage of judging by four Dyson engineers with the chance to move onto the final stage of the competition, judged by James Dyson.
