Lamborghini adds new Spyder convertible to Huracán line for 2016

New for 2016 is the Lamborghini Huracán Spyder convertible which brings back all-wheel drive, new cylinder deactivation technology which reduces the V10's available cylinders when the Huracán doesn't need all the horsepower resulting in better fuel economy and emissions.

A customization program allows owners to choose which types of leather or carbon fiber materials to use in various colours for interior trim and infotainment has been ramped up with an optional 390-watt amplifier feeds ten speakers with Lamborghini’s Sensonum audio system.  As for the soft-top, it opens in 17 seconds and at speeds up to 31 mph. The Spyder's top speed is rated at 201 mph, and 0-to-62 mph accelerates at 3.4 seconds.

The Huracán Spyder convertible is powered by the mid-mounted 5.2-liter V-10 engine featuring 610 hp and 413 pounds-feet of torque.

“The Huracan LP 610-4 Spyder is the next chapter in the success story of the naturally aspirated V10 Huracán, and continues a Lamborghini tradition of open air motoring,” Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann said in a statement. U.S. pricing for this exotic will be $262,350, not including taxes and delivery.
