CIAS Report: Ford Canada Suits Up

The Canadian International AutoShow (CIAS) is underway with lots of eye candy. Ford Canada has given us many reasons to visit them alone. Aside from the big announcement of the new Ford GT to be assembled here in Canada, the company has given us something else to think about at this year's show.
The Ford Experience gives attendees the opportunity to meet with their Research & Development team to learn more about the comfort and functional aspects of vehicle design.
Ergonomically designed suits give designers some understanding of the challenges that some drivers face. At the booth, you can learn more and even try a few on.
There's an "Empathy Belly" for you to experience what it's like to drive while pregnant, this propted Ford to make design adjustments for the comfort and safety of expectant mothers. Guys, suit up!
The "Third Age Suit" was developed by the ergonomics engineers to help them understand the needs of older drivers by givien a sense of what it feels like to be 30 years older.
A specially-designed "Impairment Suit" simluates the effects of alcohol - partcularly an eye opening experience for new drivers and teens. This suit is used as part of the Ford Driving Skills for Life Program.
A very interesting part of CIAS and definitely worth checking out.
CIAS runs until February 22, 2015 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
