Video: A demo of Private Printing functionality on HP's new LaserJet Enterprise printers

By Gadjo Cardenas Sevilla

We were at HP's DeskJet Printer launch event yesterday and got to see how security, cloud computing and user-verification now plays into private printing. The demo above shows how you can print virtually to a cloud printer, which docks your print jobs for up to three days.

When you're at your office and in front of the printer, you can then authenticate using your office proximity card or a PIN or password in order to access your docked documents and print them directly on any connected printer. This is ideal for when documents, files, contracts and other critical information is to be kept away from priying eyes. Stay tuned for a few more innovation demos coming from the HP event.
