YouTube brings cards format to in-video annotations

YouTube is introducing cards format for in-video annotations. Perhaps it harks to Google’s Material Design for its mobile platform but the move is said to help creators add more information about their content and the other things they offer. Plus, it works on both mobile and desktop, so you can share what you want on them. Right now, the six cards you can display include: Merchandise, Fundraising, Video, Playlist, Associated, Website, and Fan Funding. YouTube hopes this move will be able to replace annotations in the future.
