The Gumball 3000 was founded in 1999 by British entrepreneur Maximillion Cooper. Originally Cooper invited his influential friends to join him on a driving adventure across Europe, hosting glamourous parties attended by A-listers. The event immediately gained a reputation as one of the most desired parties to attend. The event evolved into a popular brand and global entertainment company attracting a wider audience through events and licensed goods.
The Gumball 3000 Foundation hosts charity auctions throughout the event to support multiple educational and recreational focused projects around the world giving underprivileged youth greater opportunities in life. Charity partners include The Nelson Mandela Children's Fund, The Tony Hawk Foudnation, and The Sir Simon Milton Foundation.
You can track their epic adventure by following @olloclip and @gumball3000 on social media. Even better if you can be there in person. I had a chance to catch it one year as the cars rumbled through Yorkville in Toronto late one night. It was beyond cool. Unfortunately Gumball 3000 will not be venturing in our direction this year but maybe I should plan a quick trip to Vegas? Who's in?
