Amazon.ca's first ever Prime Day hints great online shopping deals

Starting July 15, Amazon Prime member on Amazon.ca (also on Amazon.com) will have the chance to shop for great deals as well as take advantage of free shipping. Prime Day is a one-day shopping event on July 15, 2015, which Amazon.ca promises will have more deals than Black Friday.

Prime members can shop exclusive deals from electronics, toys, video games, movies, clothing, patio, lawn and garden, sports and outdoor items and more. Non Prime users are invited by Amazon to Try Prime and get immediate access to deals on July 15.

Deals in Canada, U.S., U.K., SpainJapanItalyGermanyFrance and Austria will find deals starting at midnight PST, with new deals throughout the day. To find out more and also how you can participate in Prime Day will continue for the next 24 hours. Amazon says it will offer new deals as often as every 10 minutes. They are arranged into two types: Lightning Deals and Deals of the Day. Amazon says it will run six Deals of the Day - offers that run throughout the day, subject to availability.

The ones to look out for are the Lightning Deals. Amazon runs Lightning Deals every day but says there will be thousands on Prime Day. Lightning Deals run for a fixed period of time, with a finite number of products available. Amazon also displays upcoming and missed deals.
