shomi streaming video service now available to all Canadians

shomi is now available to all Canadians. Entertainment lovers from coast to coast can subscribe to shomi directly and stream exclusive and buzzworthy series including Fresh off the Boat, Empire, Vikings, Transparent, Jane the Virgin, Outlander, Sons of Anarchy, Black Sails, and iZombie  – hit titles that shomi says are unavailable on Netflix.

“Today is an epic day for Canadian entertainment lovers as we deliver on the promise we made to them back in May,” said David Asch, Senior Vice President and General Manager, shomi. “We announced we would be moving in, and today we’ve arrived. shomi is now available to all Canadians.”

Starting today, Canadians can subscribe directly to shomi to access the service through their Internet provider. And shomi is accessible on the platforms Canadians want – tablet, mobile, online, Xbox 360, Apple TV, Chromecast, as well as set-top boxes for Rogers and Shaw TV subscribers. The service is also on offer to other cable providers and ISPs. New members get to try their first month of shomi for free when they subscribe, then enjoy non-stop streaming for just $8.99 per month.
