Lenovo announced a broad redesign of its ThinkPad YOGA and ThinkCentre portfolios at IFA. A recent Lenovo survey of more than 6,000 businesses suggested that security, mobility and reliability were amongst the top pain points today and more than a quarter plan to introduce convertible devices. The latest generation of thinner and lighter ThinkPad YOGA 260 and 460 convertibles and faster than ever ThinkCentre desktops have been designed to provide customers with solutions to their critical needs.

Data from the Lenovo survey showed that 53% of employees work from home at least some of the time, 61% are required to travel for business and 46% are aged between 18 and 34 years. These progressive customers are the emerging workforce and decision makers of tomorrow and actively seek leading edge technology to maintain a competitive edge. They need truly reliable and mobile devices with no compromise on performance.

ThinkPad YOGA 260 and 460  have unique features in selected models such as LTE-A wireless WAN connectivity offering speeds up to three times faster than LTE and optional integrated fingerprint and smartcard security provide maximum data protection and productivity on the road.

An even more accurate and rechargeable ThinkPad Pen Pro enriches the Windows 10 experience and combined with the Lenovo WRITEit application, revolutionizes the way users interact with their ThinkPad Yoga. The Yoga 460 adds the option of an unmatched vivid WQHD screen and discrete graphics to deliver a high performance convertible ultrabook without compromise.

Available in Midnight Black and Silver, the new products feature the latest Intel 6th generation Core processors, up to 16GB memory and optional PCIe solid state drives in YOGA 260 for the ultimate in multimode performance. Desk management is simpler and more efficient than ever with a new OneLink+ Dock with double previous transfer speeds up to 33Gbps allowing native 4K display and other connections through a single cable.

The original ultra-small factor desktop, ThinkCentre Tiny remains unmatched for the combination of size, performance, reliability and an unmatched selection of mounting and expansion options. In particular, introducing the new Lenovo Pro WiDi adapter making wireless connections to WiDi enabled displays simple and eliminating more cable clutter.

In a recent internal benchmark2, the ThinkCentre M900 Tiny outperformed its nearest competitors by up to 48 percent and the first generation Tiny by 128 percent, thanks in part to support for new PCIe storage that offers up to 80 percent better performance than standard solid state drives. ThinkCentre Tiny series also stakes a claim to be the world's most “dust free” desktop. With a new optional ThinkCentre dust shield reducing build-up of performance and reliability impacting dust by up to 37 percent over a three-year lifecycle, the Tiny series is more reliable than ever.

The next generation, including the new M900z all-in-one, M900 tower and small form factor and M900, M700 and M600 Tiny desktops, will protect end user data with rock solid security solutions guarding against unwanted physical intrusion and safeguarding critical data. Furthermore, Lenovo has extended reliability testing to its ThinkCentre portfolio. On top of shock, drop, vibration and other extended reliability tests, ThinkCentre Tiny is also subject to eight grueling Mil-spec tests including extreme temperatures, sand and high altitude operation to ensure they will continue to deliver fast and dependable performance for years to come in virtually any environment.

Featuring the latest 6th generation Intel Core processors, ThinkCentre M series offer a wide range of CPU, storage and graphics options and upgrades or maintenance are made easy with tool-less access. Manageability solutions such as Intel vPro, PC Cloud Manager and Microsoft SCCM are designed to reduce total cost of ownership and simplify workload on support services.
