Selfies have killed more people than shark attacks in 2015
Our vanity’s being taken to an entirely different and dangerous level. Mashable released a story claiming there have been more selfie-related deaths than shark attacks so far in 2015. Twelve people already died while attempting to take selfies and eight have passed away following a shark attack. Although Digital Trends got in touch with George Burgess, director of shark research at the Florida Museum of Natural History, and he said the number of shark attack-related deaths are at six. This means selfies are twice as dangerous then. Selfies are all fun and good but please, if you think you’re attempting something to risky, let’s just save that vanity for another time.
