Apple transforms facade of Bill Graham Auditorium in SF ahead of September 9 special event

Apple is reportedly deploying a large number of workers, electricians, carpenters and security personnel to transform the Bill Graham Auditorium in downtown San Francisco, Ca, ahead of next Wednesday's Special Event.

There are already various Apple flags on top of flagpoles plus posters and a huge Special Event banner decorating the front of the auditorium. A little bit of history, Apple used the same venue to launch its Apple II computer 38 years ago. The Bill Graham Auditorium can seat 7,000 people.

Apple II was the company's cash cow for many years, even during the intial run of the Macintosh. Apple's yearly iPhone events have usually been held in the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts but they went to another historically significant venue, the Flint Centre in Cupertino, for the iPhone 6 and Apple Watch reveal a year ago.

Apple is expected to move Special Events and other launches to their new 'Mothership' Campus which is currently being built.
