Toca Boca soft launches its much anticipated video product, Toca TV, in Canada. Available on June 23 in the App Store, Toca TV is a reimagined video experience for kids ages 5 to 9. It brings everything kids love about Toca Boca to a world filled with playful video.
With more than 130 million downloads since releasing its first app in 2011, Toca Boca is one of the most recognizable kids app developers globally. The release of Toca TV marks the first time the company is bringing its unique and successful approach to the video space.
Toca TV is an interactive video platform that delivers amazing content for kids to discover and play with. It includes 1,000+ handpicked videos curated from around the web. With Toca TV, it’s not just about what videos are available but about what videos aren’t. Every piece of content is reviewed and prescreened to ensure it lives up to Toca Boca’s standards — there will never be third-party advertising or sponsored product placement. The carefully selected catalogue offers everything kids need to laugh, be inspired and have fun. Only on Toca TV will kids have access to original content produced and directed by Toca Boca. They’ll find more than 60 exclusive videos including kid-hosted shows, animated originals and videos featuring the characters many kids know and love.
Toca TV brings a playful video experience to kids’ fingertips. Kids can keep the videos coming by tapping through them in a stack, save their favorites in a collection, or use the icons to search and browse by category. Kids can also get behind (and in front of) the camera, using the recording tool and its 11 fun animated filters and stickers to create their own videos. Toca TV is a place where kids not only get inspired by great content but can expand their creativity through play and video.
Toca TV will be available on June 23 in the App Store in Canada for a monthly subscription of $5.49 CAD after a one-week free trial. An international rollout of Toca TV will follow in fall 2016.
