CES 2017: ASUS launches lightest 14-inch business notebook

Las Vegas- ASUS has just dropped the ASUS PRO B9440, while this may have an unremarkable name, this business class notebook is full of notable features. It is a 14-inch notebook with the footprint of a 13-notebook. ASUS claims this is the world’s lightest 14-inch business notebook.

Weighing just 2.31 lbs, B9440 has an ultra-compact design with a footprint no larger than many 13-inch notebooks, making it the ultimate take-anywhere notebook for business productivity. ASUSPRO B9440 will be available in May 2017 starting at $999 USD.

The sleek B9440 is designed to be both stylish and practical, using an all-metal chassis crafted from magnesium alloy — a premium material that is lighter but more rigid than standard aluminum alloy. The ergonomic keyboard has an innovative tilting design that positions it perfectly for comfortable typing.

ASUSPRO B9440 is powered by the latest Intel Core i5 and i7 U-series processors with optional Intel vPro support for enhanced enterprise manageability and security. It also features an optional Trusted Platform Module (TPM) for secure hardware-based data encryption.

Expansion capabilities include two USB 3.1 Gen 1 USB Type-C™ (USB-C™) ports for high-speed data transfers, with one port also supporting power delivery and docking connections. Enhanced desktop-grade expansion capabilities are available with the optional ASUS SimPro Dock USB-C docking station, which features dual DisplayPort interfaces, USB-C and Type-A USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports, VGA, HDMI, LAN and an SD Card reader. For comprehensive on-the-go wireless connectivity, B9440 offers ultra-fast 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth® 4.1.
