10 Things to know about iPhone X

Apple's iPhone X is hours away from being made available for pre-order (starting at 12:01 a.m. PDT on October 27!).

This is one of the most anticipated products to come to market in a long time and showcases Apple's vision for the mobile industry going forward. Expected to be in short supply because of overwhelming demand, iPhone X online orders are expected to go briskly. They ship and will be available to in stores on November 3.

10 things to know about iPhone X

1) iPhone X’s size falls in between iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus even if it does have the largest display which is 5.8” inches.

2) The display is a Super Retina HD display (2436 x 1125 resolution, 458 pixels per inch). It is capable of playing back HDR content.

3) The OLED Display is the first one used on any iPhone. It has a number of sensors, including a dot projector that is used to recognize the user's face even if one ages, changes hairstyles or wears glasses.

4) iPhone X shares its Apple A11 Bionic processor with the iPhone 8. It also has a glass back.

5) iPhone X will have dual 12 megapixel rear cameras (wide angle and telephoto). The 7 megapixel TrueDepth Camera will also be able to take portrait mode and portrait lighting photos. It also has Optical Image Stabilization, just like the rear cameras.

6) Because of the OLED display technology, iPhone X will last 2 hours longer than iPhone 7 despite having a larger display.

7) iPhone X will have wireless charging capability using the Qi standard. It will also have the ability to charge 50% in 30 minutes when using a higher wattage charger.

8) The Face ID functionality replaces Touch ID. It will be used to unlock the device as well as to enable payments through Apple Pay.

10) iPhone X has a 2,716mAh battery and 3 GB of RAM.
