Google's Pixelbook redefines the Chromebook segment
Chromebooks have traditionally been affordable, no frills devices. Much like entry-level notebooks, they are made of plastic, offfer few ports and have moderate specs. Google's newly released Pixelbook, however, truly defies convention.
Taking the design cues and materials of the Pixel phones, the Pixelbook is exquisitely designed and is easily one of the sleekest notebooks in the 12-inch range. With the latest Core i5 and i7 processors, this is also the most powerful Chromebook we've seen in the market.
The 4-in-1 functionality plus the availability of an accessory pen for precise inking, drawing and annotation puts the Pixelbook squarely in front of devices like the Surface Pro (which costs the same but doesn't come with a keyboard). Google has also upped the ante by making Android apps compatible with the Chrome OS-powered Pixelbook, and it has also built-in Google Assistant with a dedicated button.
