Freedom Mobile's calling, text, and data services available in all 75 TTC subway stations

BAI Canada, the TTC and Freedom Mobile  announced earlier that talk, text and data technology is now available at all 75 TTC subway stations and in all 9km of tunnel in the brand new Line 1 extension in Toronto.

Torontonians have spoken loudly and clearly - they not only want, but expect to be able to talk, text and use data wherever they are in the city. BAI Canada has brought its global expertise from transit systems in New York, Hong Kong and elsewhere to deliver this project on schedule and with the highest industry standards.

While Freedom Mobile customers are currently the only riders able to benefit from full cellular access, BAI Canada has designed the cellular infrastructure system to accommodate any and all carriers’ spectrum and associated power needs. The system is in place and ready for Rogers, Bell and Telus.

If you are a commuter using the subway, Freedom Mobile is the obvious choice if you value connectivity. Our cu stomers are the first to have cellular service at all TTC subway stations to stay connected with friends, families and colleagues throughout their day. With all subway stations now online, we continue to work with the TTC and BAI Canada to expand our in - tu nnel cellular network in 2018 to ensure our customers stay connected while in transit.”

- Paul McAleese, Chief Operating Officer, Freedom Mobile
