Fantasy MMORPG Lineage 2: Revolution adds large-scale sieges in its latest update

Setting a game during a time of dragons, dungeons, and duels brings with it the need for battles of epic proportions. Mobile publisher Netmarble understands this, and so are adding in colossal PvP battles as part of Lineage 2: Revolution’s latest update. Capping off what’s already been a big year for the game, Sieges are an early Christmas present for all iOS and Android players.

Highly anticipated amongst Lineage 2: Revolution’s fanbase since before launch, a new online mode known as Fortress Siege will allow players to butt heads with other clans in all-out 50v50 player warfare. An event held every Friday between 20:30 – 21:00 PST, your objective is to “imprint” on the opposing team’s Holy Artefact. The winners can look forward to exclusive buffs and a freshly won fortress.

Those who think themselves not quite ready for Fortress Sieges can rest comfortably knowing that Lineage 2: Revolution’s end of year update also brings with it an Open Siege option. Here players aren’t required to join a clan, and all who enter are of equal combat power and level. Taking place every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, providing your character is at least level 11 or higher, you’ll be able to get a taste of the large-scale grandeur online battles bring.

Finally, the update sees three new online servers added to Lineage 2: Revolution in the hope of easing traffic in light of the additional siege modes. Aiming to give players in North America and Europe the most seamless experience possible, charging through the ranks won’t see you hindered by stutters that would otherwise affect your chances.

Time to step out onto the battlefield and prove your worth. Lineage 2: Revolution and its jam-packed update are live on iOS and Android right now.
